The Opportunity
We’re seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting our People & Culture function. Based in Sydney, this permanent full-time role will support recruitment processes, employee engagement initiatives and core HR operations. You’ll work closely with the People & Culture team and leaders across the business to deliver high-quality HR support and ensure a positive employee experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on exposure across a broad range of HR activities, while developing the skills to support our organisation’s priorities and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment, including job advertising, screening applications, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks and managing offers and employment contracts.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS and support system
administration and continuous improvement.
- Assist with the development and implementation of People & Culture policies,
procedures and initiatives.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, training programs and internal events.
- Provide administrative support, reporting and project coordination to the People &
- Culture team.
- Respond to employee enquiries regarding People & Culture policies and procedures.
About You
You’re a proactive and curious HR professional who enjoys solving problems and learning quickly. Organised and detail-driven, you’re comfortable working with systems and data
and enjoy improving processes. You build strong relationships, communicate openly and thrive in a collaborative team. You’ll also bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline, with 3+ years’ experience in a People & Culture role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, empathy and confidentiality.
- An interest in reporting, data analytics and generating insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and HRIS systems (ideally Employment Hero).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine interest in supporting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
