NHS Trade have permanent full-time positions available for Yard Persons to join our team at our Cardiff and Beresfield locations.

What duties does a Yard Person do at NHS?

A Yard Person is a hands on and physical role, with some Forklift work. Some duties include:

• Picking of customer orders
• Assist customers in loading their vehicles
• Loading of NHS Utes and Trucks
• Stocking and re-stocking products in racks and bays
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Conduct stock counts and stock takes

The ideal candidate would be someone that:

• Has a Safety First, Safety Second mindset
• Is punctual and reliable in attending work
• Is physically fit (as frequent and repetitive lifting is required as part of this position)
• Has a current driver’s licence
• Has a current forklift ticket (for the right candidate we can assist with this).

This position will involve a Pre-employment Medical Assessment, including a Drug & Alcohol Screen, as well as a Background Check as part of the recruitment process. All NHS positions are subject to ongoing random Drug and Alcohol testing.
