About Us

Mansfield Crushing is a well-established, privately owned business operating across Victoria. We specialise in mobile crushing and screening and are known for our strong safety culture, reliable team, and well-maintained equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of maintenance operations across our mobile crushing fleet. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong crushing experience who enjoys balancing workshop coordination with site-based support.

The Role

Based primarily out of our Little River workshop, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating maintenance activities for mobile crushing and screening equipment operating across Melbourne and surrounding regions. You will work closely with site supervisors, operators, and the workshop team to ensure plant availability, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and repair of mobile crushing and screening equipment

• Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime

• Provide breakdown support across multiple sites

• Supervise and support fitters and maintenance personnel

• Liaise with site supervisors to plan maintenance around production requirements

• Ensure spare parts, tooling and consumables are available

• Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities

• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance documentation

• Assist with commissioning of new or replacement equipment

• Engage and manage external contractors when required

• Ensure all maintenance works comply with WHS and environmental requirements

• Provide operational support to the General Manager and Lead Hands across production and maintenance functions

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with safety procedures

• Ensure risk assessments (SWMS, JSA, Take 5) are completed as required

• Ensure maintenance personnel and contractors are inducted and competent

• Promote safe work practices and address hazards or unsafe behaviours

• Report and investigate incidents, near misses and plant damage

About You

• Proven experience in mobile crushing and screening maintenance

• Previous experience in a maintenance leadership or management role

• Trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic, Fitter & Turner or similar) preferred

• Strong knowledge of crushing plant, conveyors, screens and associated equipment

• Civil construction, quarry or mining industry background

• Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to travel to sites across Melbourne

• Current driver’s licence (MR preferred but not essential)
