This role is available for an initial 6 month period working alongside another Service Delivery Operations Lead across the Northern Territory.

The Opportunity
As the Service Delivery Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the compliance, sustainability, and ongoing improvement of Child Australia’s services across your regional cluster. You’ll provide hands-on operational support to uplift quality, strengthen compliance, develop people, and enhance organisational performance.
You will:
• Provide operational oversight to ensure services meet National Quality Standards
• Develop Service Leaders business acumen through coaching and regular site visits
• Support budget oversight, utilisation targets, and financial performance
• Provide onsite risk identification, compliance monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives alongside our Governance, Risk & Growth Partner and Compliance Officer
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships, including schools, funding partners, and community networks
• Represent Child Australia in organisational projects and act as a delegate when required
• Foster positive, collaborative team culture and psychologically safe environments
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee multi-site service delivery operations
• Ensure high quality, compliant practice aligned to NQS & NQF
• Support continuous quality improvement across all services
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Monitor budgets, utilisation, and resource efficiency
• Champion Child Australia’s values and act as an ambassador for the organisation
• Address escalated issues and apply sound judgement in risk mitigation
Selection Criteria
You will be successful in this role if you have:
• A relevant tertiary qualification (Early Childhood, Education, Management or similar)
• Minimum 5 years of OSHC leadership experience (OR multi site experience highly desirable)
• Deep understanding of the Outside School Hours Care sector, including NQF, NQS and compliance frameworks
• Strong skills in planning, budgeting, and operational management
• Experience leading teams, mentoring leaders, and driving performance
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
• A positive, collaborative, and solutions focused mindset
Role Requirements
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
• Working with Children Check
• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Ability to travel intra/interstate as required
• Availability for occasional evening meetings or professional development
