About the Opportunity

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform daily production, baking, and preparation of bakery products according to established standards
  • Maintain the quality of food products and ensure consistency in food delivery and standards
  • Create baked goods by following set recipes and ensuring adherence to the production numbers schedule
  • Ensure productivity and efficiency in the kitchen is consistently maintained to achieve set daily production schedules
  • Ensure high product standards and cost-effective operations by efficiently managing resources
  • Aim to proactively identify and mitigate potential sources of wastage in production, use seasonality produce
  • Maintain the bakery at the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation
  • Ensure the bakery and equipment are maintained according to proper health and sanitation standards.
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations in their section of the kitchen, promoting a safe working environment

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • 2 years experience as Pastry chef, baker or chef
  • Strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude
  • Commercial cooking/ pastry qualification or a reasonable amount of prior experience
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • NSW FSS (Food Safety Supervisor) Certificate
  • Further your skills with professional development within an industry leading venue
