Bidgerdii Community Health Service is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled primary health care service operating across Rockhampton and Central Queensland for over 30 years. We deliver comprehensive, culturally safe primary healthcare and wellbeing services and are committed to continuous improvement and strong community outcomes.

About the Role

This senior leadership role provides strategic oversight of governance, risk management, quality systems, accreditation and organisational compliance.

Working closely with Executive and governance committees, you will:

  • Lead governance, risk and quality frameworks
  • Maintain accreditation readiness
  • Strengthen compliance and regulatory systems
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead and support a small specialist team

This is a key role focused on strengthening organisational integrity, safety and performance.

About You

You are values-driven and passionate about improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Quality, Auditing, WHS (or minimum 2 years’ experience managing quality/compliance systems)
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience operating at Executive and Board level
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Experience in health, community services or ACCHO environments (desirable)
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation

Requirements

  • Valid QLD Blue Card
  • Police Criminal History Check
  • QLD C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Compliance with mandatory immunisations
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work outside standard hours if required
