This role is suited to a senior testing practitioner who remains actively involved in test design, execution and defect resolution, while also providing leadership across a complex delivery environment.

As a key member of the Super Program Delivery Team, you will play a central role in co-ordinating and defining operational readiness testing, including joint test planning and execution with internal teams and external service providers and ensuring member outcomes, operational readiness and regulatory compliance ahead of go-live.

This role requires a modern strategic approach and AI experience to deliver testing outcomes in a highly automated digital environment and the ability to work across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.

If you’re ready to help build a market-leading superannuation offering and play a pivotal role in Betashares’ future, we’d love to hear from you.

Role responsibilities:

Test Execution & Management

  • Lead and coordinate multiple test phases including internal and SIT, end‑to‑end integration testing, operational readiness and joint UAT and model office testing.
  • Manage test environments, test data (including PII controls), test schedules and execution tracking.
  • Oversee defect management processes including triage, prioritisation, remediation and retesting.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate testing activities across internal teams and third‑party providers (e.g. administrators, registry, custodians, payments).
  • Ensure clear roles, responsibilities and dependencies are defined across all test participants.
  • Provide regular test status reporting, RAID updates and readiness assessments to program governance forums.

Governance, Risk & Readiness

  • Ensure testing supports trustee obligations, operational readiness and member outcomes.
  • Support go‑live readiness assessments, entry/exit criteria and sign‑off processes.
  • Contribute to audit, risk and assurance activities as required.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in test processes, tooling and documentation. Capture lessons learned and support transition into BAU testing and change processes post‑launch.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 8+ years’ experience in testing roles, with strong hands‑on delivery experience.
  • Experience in use of AI tools to deliver strategic, AI-assisted quality assurance testing outcomes.
  • Strong experience delivering complex financial services or superannuation platforms.
  • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end testing across multiple vendors and integrated systems.
  • Solid understanding of superannuation administration, member lifecycle events and regulatory obligations.
  • Experience working within APRA‑regulated environments. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience with Agile, hybrid or large‑scale program delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with traditional test management tools (e.g.Jira) and use of AI tools to support testing automation.

Desirable

  • Experience with superannuation product launches or member migrations.
  • Exposure to CPS 230 / operational resilience and data controls.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
