The Role

Our food service company, based at Cameron Park, requires a casual delivery driver who is enthusiastic, customer-focused and understands WHS.

The casual position will be up to 30 hours per week based on business demand. It’s an early start at 4.00 am and an early finish at 11 am – 12 noon, giving you the afternoon to yourself. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Undertake daily delivery

  • Individual unloading of deliveries by hand

  • Accurate completion of delivery paperwork, pick and pack orders if required

  • Other duties as delegated by the manager

The Essentials:

  • You have an MR Truck licence & a Forklift Licence

  • You have a minimum of 12 months of experience driving medium rigid trucks in metropolitan areas with a good driving record (you must supply evidence)

  • You have an excellent attitude

  • You are a team player and have the ability to work unsupervised

  • You are able to start work at 4 am

  • You are physically capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying items up to 25kg

  • You have excellent knowledge of Newcastle and the Hunter region street networks

  • You must pass a police check and be eligible to work in a food handling environment

  • You have strong communication skills

  • You are flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks

  • You work well without supervision

  • You are self-motivated with a passion for learning
