About the Role
We’re looking for compassionate, proactive Support Workers to join our team at our Bathurst and Lithgow disability accommodation sites. We work with participants with varying needs from physical support, intellectual support, social support, mental health and challenging behaviours. Located in the vibrant heart of Bathurst, these newly constructed villas set a new standard for exceptional living for NDIS participants seeking high physical support (HPS) or robust SDA accommodation. Crafted by architects, these villas offer unmatched accessibility, independence, and privacy. This offers a selection of 3 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom self-contained villas meticulously designed to meet the stringent design requirements for robust and high physical support under the NDIS. Spacious, pet friendly, and open plan apartments designed for independence, comfort, and connection. Lithgow’s only apartment style SDA offers flexible SIL support, condition specific pathways, and the convenience of a central regional location — perfect for participants, families, and carers seeking long term security and lifestyle. This offers 10 specially designed SDA units.
This innovative support model allows people with High Physical support needs to reach their ultimate independence. The service offers 24/7 onsite support. There is an on-site carer’s unit integrated with assistive technology and nurse call buttons, so our clients have access to support whenever they need. You’ll play a key role in empowering the people we support to be part of the community, live independently, and live their best life.
Multiple vacancies are available.
- Provide high intensity support tailored to each participant’s unique needs
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Facilitate daily living activities and implement capacity-building exercises
- Manage household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Administer medications accurately and adhere to prescribed protocols
- Accompany participants to medical appointments and liaise with healthcare teams
- Enable community participation by arranging transport and supporting access to activities
- Foster social engagement through active companionship and meaningful interaction
About You
You’re driven by innovation, passion, and a shared vision for delivering exceptional support. You’re adaptable, a great communicator, and ready to think differently to make a real difference in people’s lives.
- Proven experience with Mental Health Illnesses (Autism, PANS etc.)
- Proven experience with Manual Handling
- Proven experience with High Intensity Support (Catheter care, Stoma care, Diabetes management, etc.)
- Relevant Qualifications (e.g. Cert III in Disability or Community Services)
- Required Checks: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), CPR & First Aid Checks, Police Check
- Driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow protocol, procedures, documentation, and data collection
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
- Open to work between both Bathurst and Lithgow sites
