About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Arabic speaking NDIS Support Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals with disabilities and their families from Arabic background, ensuring they receive the best possible care and services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants to coordinate and implement supports/therapies in line with their NDIS funding and goals.
  • Assist with engaging in mainstream supports
  • Assist with maximising clients NDIS plans
  • Assist with plan reviews & change of circumstances submissions
  • Assist with home modification applications
  • Assist with Assistive Technology applications
  • Build capacity and understanding of the NDIS processes
  • Create simple budgets in relation NDIS plans
  • Meet or exceed Coordination of Support targets, and ensure that customer processes are carried out efficiently and within the required timeframes.
  • Support a caseload of customers to increase their capacity to understand, monitor and manage supports of their choice
  • Act as the first point of escalation for clients, sharing knowledge, information and expertise with other team members and stakeholders
  • Increase customers’ engagement in the planning and delivery of their supports, promoting choice and providing exceptional experiences by ensuring that wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Support Coordination role is a MUST or strong evidence showing your knowledge and indirect experience around the Support Coordination role and navigating the NDIS.
  • Level 3 Support Coordination knowledge – Complex Clients.
  • Skills in interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
  • Confident with meeting deadlines and at time working under pressure.
  • Time management and organisations skills are imperative.
  • Confident with Microsoft office programs.
  • Confident to learn a CRM system.
  • Bilingual-Arabic.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Police check within the past 6 months.
  • NDIS Worker Screening – This is a requirement prior to commencement with the organisation.
  • NDIS worker Orientation module
