Maintenance Foreman – Montrose

About the role:

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Foreman to oversee the maintenance operations at our site in Montrose. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coaching and growing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner. The Maintenance Foreman will also be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Areas of responsibility (not limited to):

• Oversee and provide leadership and support for the maintenance of mobile and fixed plant assets
• Management of mechanical/diesel/electrical trades.
• Provide support for the maintenance of all facilities (offices, landscaping, labs, site infrastructure).
• Development and ongoing management of the maintenance management software.
• Management of work orders including updating, closing and reporting work orders.
• Plan, manage and clearly communicate schedules for regular minor and major plant servicing and work order status.
• Execute carefully planned preventative maintenance schedules
• Maintain spare parts stock levels for both fixed & mobile assets

The person we are looking will display:

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs

The person we are looking for will have:

• A relevant trade qualification
• A current forklift license
• Strong technical knowledge in the mechanics of mobile and fixed assets
• Experience working in small to medium capital projects
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A valid driver’s license
