We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to deliver effective, engaging, and enjoyable swimming lessons with a team that’s focused on safety and fun!

Our Train to Teach is a fast-track program designed for Rainbow Club family, friends, and individuals eager to work in the disability community.

What’s Required?

  • Enrol in a Swim Teacher training course with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), including online modules and a one-day face-to-face session.
  • Complete 25 hours of shadow teaching (Rainbow Club will pay for up to 18 hours, with the remaining 10 hours required in a mainstream setting-unpaid).
  • Once qualified, obtain an NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) and a Working With Children Check (WWCC) if over 18.
  • If you’re on a visa, it must allow work for at least one year (Student Visa holders (Subclass 500) are ineligible).

Rainbow Club is a network of social swimming clubs for children with a disability. Rainbow Club Australia is a charity that helps children with a disability learn to swim and provides young adults with aqua exercise classes. We have 70+ clubs across NSW, Victoria, ACT and QLD and have plans to increase our footprint to meet the increasing demand for membership. We employ 400+ swimming teachers on a casual basis to provide personalised swimming lessons and aqua exercises to children and young adults with a disability.
