Description

About Us

New Aim is Australia’s largest and fastest-growing private e-commerce company — and we’re just getting started. Ranked among the country’s Top 500 Private Companies, we’re scaling rapidly in a sector defined by change, complexity, and opportunity.

Since 2005, we’ve built the digital infrastructure behind Australia’s most iconic online retailers — from Amazon and eBay to Myer, David Jones, and Harvey Norman. Our unique B2M model, powered by proprietary technology, allows us to manage a sophisticated multi-brand, multi-channel, and multi-region operation that’s as data-rich as it is commercially dynamic.

Through Dropshipzone, our B2B2C marketplace, we’re driving a new wave of digital entrepreneurship — giving thousands of SMEs the tools to succeed online. Every transaction, every partnership, every growth initiative feeds into a constantly evolving data landscape that informs how we plan, forecast, and invest.

With over 400 team members across Australia and globally, we operate at the intersection of agility and scale. And as our business expands, so does the need for strategic minds who can turn insight into action.

We provide a platform where Finance partners with the business, not just reports on it. Where your models guide real-world decisions. And where your analysis can shape the trajectory of an industry leader.

About the Role:

At New Aim, FP&A is at the heart of strategic decision-making. We’re seeking a commercially astute FP&A Manager to turn financial insights into business action — helping us scale smarter, faster, and stronger.

You’ll partner closely with senior leaders across a complex, high-growth eCommerce environment. Your work won’t just track results — it will influence them.

This role offers full visibility across our business and real opportunity to drive impact. If you’re looking to move beyond reporting and into shaping strategy, this is your moment.

Join us to help define the future of finance in Australia’s eCommerce story.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Financial Planning: Oversee the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and strategic long-term planning in alignment with New Aim’s commercial goals.
  • Performance Analysis: Deliver timely, insightful analysis on financial performance, including monthly management packs, and variance analysis with business commentary.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to key stakeholders across the business, providing commercial insights and financial guidance.
  • Peer & Industry Analysis: Conduct peer and industry analysis to identify emerging trends, evaluate competitive positioning, and provide strategic insights to support New Aim’s growth and profitability.
  • Scenario Planning & Risk Assessment: Develop and evaluate financial scenarios to support agile responses to marketplace changes, supply chain shifts, and business growth opportunities.
  • Accounting Acumen: Support accurate month-end and year-end close processes, working closely with the accounts team to ensure alignment with IFRS and reporting requirements.
  • Innovation & Best Practice: Partner with the CFO and Financial Controller to identify and implement scalable finance processes, tools, and global best practices.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance roles, preferably in eCommerce, digital, or data-led organisations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of digital business drivers including CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and platform/channel profitability.
  • Analytical Strength: Advanced modelling, forecasting, and valuation skills, with a strong command of Excel and/or financial planning tools.
  • Communication: Confident communicator with the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear, actionable messages for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Agility: Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving business landscape. Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, challenge ideas constructively, and build strong relationships with business leaders.

It’s Great if You Have

  • Qualifications: Finance/Corporate Finance/Accounting certifications (e.g., CFA, ACA, or CIMA)
  • Industry Experience: Prior exposure to eCommerce, online retail, or digital marketplaces
  • Tech & Data Skills: Experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and basic proficiency in SQL—or a willingness to learn.
  • Financial tool experience: Netsutie
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Background: Knowledge in statistics or decision sciences is a plus but not required

The Perks:

  • Free on-site parking (and coffee!)
  • Generous employee discounts on over 6,000 products
  • Travel allowance
  • Company-sponsored team lunch
  • Company sponsored events, including end-of-quarter team building events, Pilates classes, Christmas event celebrations, birthday celebrations and more!
  • This is an on-site role offering flexible start and end times to support a healthy work-life balance

At New Aim, you’ll have the platform, support, and creative freedom to build something extraordinary. If you’re ready to define the future of finance in Australia’s eCommerce story —we’d love to hear from you!
