Community Care Tasmania is a not for profit focusing on provided compassionate care and support, enabling our clients to thrive at home with Dignity. We are seeking a permanent full time Home and Garden Maintenance Support Worker to provide home and garden maintenance to the CCT clients.
This position will be based in the Launceston region however travel to the NW coast and NE region will be required.
In this role you will work closely with clients to assist them to continue to live in their own home. You will be part of a growing and exciting team and supported with enthusiastic training and administrative support. You will be part of team that cares and puts its clients first. The dynamic nature of our services, coupled with the chance to work with multiple clients, guarantees regular opportunities for you to contribute significantly.
Primary Duties include:
• Lawn mowing and garden maintenance including weeding, mulching, pruning and edging.
• General garden clean and tidy, including removal of any rubbish and green waste and transport of items to the local Tip.
• Installation of outdoor Key Lockbox/Key safe.
• External window cleaning at ground level.
• High pressure cleaning at ground level.
• Other ad-hoc gardening as reasonably requested, and within relevant program funding guidelines.
• Other maintenance tasks as confirmed, based off individual employee qualifications.
About you

You will be required to provide all equipment and transport to perform the primary duties.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
• Certificate 3 in horticulture is desirable or a minimum 1-year experience in similar role.
• Training in manual handling desirable.
• Training in Chemical handling desirable.
• Ability to safely operate a range of gardening equipment
Mandatory Licenses:
• Satisfactory National Police check (less than 3mths old, (willingness to obtain).
• Current Tasmanian Drivers Licence
• Working with Vulnerable People Card (NDIS Screening)
NDIS Workers Orientation Module (willingness to complete).
