Canstar are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Administration Assistant to join us in a casual role, working 3 days a week.

Overview

The Finance Administration Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Finance team by managing day-to-day administrative tasks and assisting with financial processes. This role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the Finance function, supporting compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Card Expenses

  • Process and reconcile credit card expense submissions for executives and senior finance staff.
  • Ensure supporting documentation is accurate and aligned with policy.

Inbox Management

  • Monitor and perform the first pass of accounts payable (AP) processing from the shared Finance inbox.
  • Identify and flag items requiring further review.

Transaction Review

  • Assist with reviewing income tax and FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) transactions for accuracy and compliance.

Serko Reports

  • Prepare and distribute travel and expense management reports from Serko.
  • Follow up on outstanding Serko submissions and approvals.

Finance Office Administration

  • Manage the Finance office intray mail.
  • Conduct general filing and scanning of financial documents to maintain accurate records.

Follow-up Activities

  • Track and follow up on outstanding AP approvals and Serko submissions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing and approval of financial documents.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills to engage with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
