Your new role

Reporting to the Recoveries Team Leader, you are responsible for achieving and maintaining a high standard of claims settlements with maximum revenue recovery and minimum write-off values in the most expedient manner possible. This involves managing claims thorough investigation, documenting and presenting relevant information to insurance companies for resolution or escalating claims through litigation where required.

This includes:

• Managing your portfolio of claims through effective time management and customer service skills.
• Liaising and negotiating with third party insurance companies and negligent third parties.
• Reducing the number of outstanding recovery claims through effective negotiation with the relevant parties.
• Recovering monies from liable parties.
• Performing to set KPI’s in relation to the recovery of money.
• Minimizing aged debt.
• Working as part of a team, attending team meetings and contributing where appropriate.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Debt collection / recoveries experience
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to gather, collate and present evidence
• Professionally presented
• Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously, manage your own workload and work in a target driven environment

Highly Desirable:

• Experience in credit hire process
• Sound knowledge of motor vehicles
• Experience within the motor insurance industry
• Understanding of road rules and laws
• CAPI Licence
