What is the Hero Foundation?
The Hero Foundation is the charitable arm of Employment Hero, using our platform, network, and reach to open up real employment opportunities for people who would otherwise be overlooked by traditional recruitment systems.
We are an ACNC registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient Item 1 status. All Hero Foundation services are free for the people who use them.

How Hero Foundation makes its mark

Candidate readiness and support
We work with our referral partners to ensure candidates are genuinely ready to enter the workforce. That means coaching, confidence building, soft skills development, mock interviews, and application support — so that when the right opportunity comes, they’re ready to dive in.
Employer enablement and inclusive hiring
We use Employment Hero’s reach to get more businesses thinking differently about who they hire. Through simple resources, real stories, and hands-on support, we show why looking beyond the usual talent pool isn’t just the right thing to do — it’s good for business. And we give employers the confidence and tools to actually do it, not just talk about it.
Employment matching
What makes this work is the tech behind the Employment Hero platform. We use it to match candidates with the right roles, flag their applications so employers don’t miss them, and actively put strong candidates in front of businesses that are already open to hiring from our network. That’s what lets us do this at scale.
Advocacy and systemic change
We’re not just focused on individual placements: we want to promote inclusive hiring as a key source of talent for all businesses. We amplify our candidates’ stories and experiences, contribute to industry and public conversations, and use every placement to show the system can work differently.
