The Role
We are currently looking for two Credit Analysts to join the Approvals team, reporting to the Senior Credit Manager and working collaboratively across the organisation.This role is close to the action, with regular contact with finance brokers and clients, assessing
and decisioning working capital and asset finance applications. In this role, you will use your credit skills to assess transactions under your delegated lending authority (DLA) for our Business Loans Express and Asset Finance Express product offerings.
You likely will have come from a Banking & Finance background and be eager to join a growing FinTech business that’s really making a difference. You have 2–3 years’ experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to business loan products or asset and equipment finance, and you are ready to put your skills to work decisioning real applications under your own DLA. The organisation is going through a period of significant growth and you will be enthusiastic about joining Banjo on this exciting journey.
A basic understanding of the credit life cycle and financial statements is beneficial, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills further will be highly valued. Business loans experience is the primary focus, with asset and equipment finance exposure being a strong advantage.
This role will also provide you with the opportunity to learn and have hands-on
experience engaging in all areas of a FinTech business.
About you
·Bachelor’s degree in business or finance is preferred
·2–3 years’ experience in banking or financial services, preferably with exposure to
business loan or asset and equipment finance
·Previous DLA (delegated lending authority) preferred; $250,000 or above is advantageous
·Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
·Strong analytical skills, great work ethic & attention to detail
·Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, able to engage professionally with brokers, BDMs and customers
·A genuine passion for learning and continuous development
·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where quality and speed are both essential,
with a positive and go-getter attitude
·A love of working in a team and having fun along the way
Responsibilities
Credit Decisioning
·Conduct credit assessment and decisioning of new business loan and asset finance
applications in accordance with Banjo’s credit risk policy, under your delegated lending authority
·Perform bank statement credit decisioning and indicative credit reviews to provide
guidance to BDMs and brokers
·Communicate credit decisions clearly and promptly to BDMs, brokers and direct customers via phone and email
·Work collaboratively with the Business Development team to workshop transactions
with customers and brokers
·Ensure the right balance is struck between decision quality and speed, adhering to
service level agreements (SLAs)
·Assist the Senior Credit Manager with credit reviews, compliance, loan documentation
and quality assurance
·Ensure credit hindsight, KPIs and quality assurance targets are met
Portfolio Management & Stakeholder Engagement
·Respond to and engage proactively with BDMs, brokers and customers to support new
business for Banjo
·Work closely with the Business Development and Product teams to provide client feedback and identify areas for improvement in the customer experience
Ad-hoc learning and development

improve the quality of our credit decisions and enhance the client experience
·Embrace ongoing learning opportunities to develop your credit skills and broaden your
understanding of Banjo’s products and risk frameworks
