Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + car allowance
The Member Partnerships Manager – North is responsible for building strong, trusted relationships with Advantage members across Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
You will act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of members, developing a strong understanding of their businesses, challenges and ambitions.
Through proactive engagement, commercial insight and effective collaboration across Advantage, you will help members maximise the value of their membership, identify opportunities for growth and contribute to stronger engagement, retention and commercial success.
This is a varied, relationship-led role combining strategic account management, member engagement, commercial development, product and service adoption, and regional community building. You will have the autonomy to manage your own regional portfolio while working as part of a collaborative Membership team and closely with colleagues across the wider Advantage business.
The role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with independent travel businesses, influence how Advantage supports its members and bring member insight back into the organisation. You will be part of a supportive team that shares ideas, insight and expertise, while taking ownership of delivering an excellent experience for members across your territory.
Success in the role will be measured through member engagement and retention, commercial participation, adoption of relevant Advantage products and services, and the strength and quality of member relationships and insight.
What you’ll do
-
Own and develop member relationships across your regional portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact and building trusted, long-term partnerships with members.
-
Understand each member’s business, including their priorities, challenges and growth ambitions, and use this insight to provide relevant and personalised support.
-
Develop proactive engagement plans for your portfolio, including regular face-to-face and virtual meetings, business reviews and planning conversations designed to increase member value, satisfaction and retention.
-
Identify member needs, opportunities and risks using performance, engagement and commercial data, prioritising activity and coordinating additional support where needed.
-
Develop commercial opportunities by working with members and internal commercial teams to increase participation in Advantage programmes and strategic partnerships, creating sustainable value for both members and Advantage.
-
Help members maximise their membership by supporting the adoption and effective use of relevant Advantage products and services and working with product owners to achieve positive member outcomes.
-
Connect members with the right expertise, building strong relationships across Advantage and bringing together relevant colleagues, partners and subject-matter experts to provide joined-up support.
-
Build strong regional member communities by facilitating networking, peer-to-peer connections and opportunities for members to share knowledge, collaborate and identify new opportunities.
-
Capture and share member insight, using feedback and market intelligence to help influence Advantage’s products, services, member proposition and strategic priorities.
-
Develop member advocacy by encouraging participation in advisory groups and the Member Ambassador programme, and by identifying referral opportunities and member success stories.
-
Represent Advantage externally at member meetings, regional events and conferences, and contribute to testing and developing new approaches to member engagement.
-
Maintain accurate and useful CRM records, including member profiles, engagement activity, relationship plans, opportunities and key insights.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with strong relationship-management skills who is commercially curious and genuinely interested in helping businesses succeed.
You will ideally have experience of:
- Managing and developing long-term customer, client, account or partner relationships.
- Building credibility and influencing business owners, senior stakeholders and other decision-makers.
- Managing your own portfolio of customers or accounts and prioritising activity effectively.
- Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, customer outcomes or engagement.
- Using data, insight and conversations to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders to solve problems and deliver value.
- Balancing relationship management with effective planning, administration and CRM management.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience within the travel industry.
- Experience within a membership, franchise, partnership or other business-to-business environment.
- An understanding of how external and industry developments can affect customers or member businesses.
These are desirable rather than essential, and we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience from other sectors.
You’ll be someone who is
- Naturally relationship-focused and commercially aware.
- Curious about how businesses operate and succeed.
- Confident communicating with business owners and senior stakeholders.
- An excellent communicator and active listener.
- Organised, proactive and self-motivated.
- Comfortable managing your own workload and working independently.
- Collaborative and comfortable working as part of a wider team.
- Able to balance competing priorities across a diverse portfolio.
- Adaptable, practical and solutions-focused.
- Comfortable using data and insight to inform decisions.
- Passionate about delivering an excellent member experience.

This is a home-based role covering Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Regular travel across the territory will be an important part of the role, including face-to-face member meetings, events and networking activity. Some overnight stays may be required, along with occasional travel to London and other Advantage events.
A car allowance is provided in addition to the salary to support the travel requirements of the role.
Please note, due to not having a sponsorship license, we can only accept applications from candidates within the UK with evidenced Right to Work.
