What would you be doing?
As Marketing Communications Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our marketing and communications across a wide range of audiences, channels and events. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive and detail-focused individual who enjoys bringing marketing campaigns to life.
You’ll help coordinate many of our day-to-day marketing activities, making sure campaigns
stay on track, deadlines are met and communications are delivered accurately and on time.
From building and scheduling member emails and social media posts to organising marketing assets, supporting content collection and helping repurpose stories across channels, no two days will be the same.
This is an assistant-level role, where you will be expected to bring energy, accuracy and curiosity, with a willingness to learn how strong content, social media and storytelling can support our members, our brand and our future consumer-facing activity.
If you’re someone who loves organisation, enjoys variety, has an eye for detail and wants to build a career in marketing and communications, this could be the perfect role for you.
The group marketing team supports the business in three fundamental ways:
- Marketing our own brands/services to retain existing members and partners and attract new ones.
- Marketing to our members to promote both our own and our partners’ products and services.
- Marketing directly to consumers and clients on behalf of our members to retain existing business and help acquire new business for them.
The overall purpose of this role is to provide operational and administrative support across the marketing team, helping deliver high-quality communications and campaigns efficiently and consistently.
To do this, you would:
- Build, format and schedule email communications for a range of audiences including members, partners and prospective members, using our CRM platform.
- Prepare, proof and format communications ready for approval and deployment.
- Create and schedule engaging social-first content across multiple platforms for both B2B and B2C audiences, including posts, stories, captions and simple short-form video content where appropriate.
- Support the creation, adaptation and resizing of marketing assets for use across email, social media, the website, intranet and other communication channels.
- Organise and maintain assets, templates and image libraries.
- Support simple video and social content production, such as captions, subtitles, thumbnails, platform-ready clips and template-based reels, working with guidance from the wider team.
- Work confidently with a range of internal stakeholders to gather information, coordinate communications and keep projects moving.
- Upload and maintain website and intranet content.
- Help capture, organise and repurpose content from events, members, campaigns and internal teams, including photography, quotes, simple video clips, behind-the-scenes content and short updates.
- Support content creation and collection for our digital community magazine.
- Help gather, coordinate and repurpose member stories, testimonials, case studies and social content across multiple business areas and audiences, helping to make Advantage Travel Partnership’s communications more people-led and story-driven.
- Support the planning and coordination of our content calendar and campaign schedules.
- Manage shared marketing inboxes and respond to or direct enquiries appropriately.
- Assist with testing emails, webpages and digital content before launch.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all communications.
- Identify opportunities to reuse and repurpose existing marketing content across different channels.
- Produce regular reports using email, website and social media analytics.
- Update campaign trackers, project plans and internal documentation.
- Support the team with general marketing administration and ad hoc projects.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is organised, practical and keen to learn. You do not need to be a finished marketing specialist, but you should be comfortable working across different tasks, audiences and channels, with strong attention to detail and an interest in how content performs.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
- Good written communication skills, with confidence writing and adapting simple copy for emails, social posts and internal updates.
- A genuine interest in social media, short-form content and digital marketing.
- Some confidence, or willingness to learn, in basic content creation tools such as Dynamic CRM, CMS, Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms.
- An eye for detail, including proofing, formatting, links, imagery, accessibility basics and brand consistency.
- Comfortable working with templates, schedules, trackers and shared content libraries.
- Able to work with colleagues across the business to gather information and turn it into clear, usable content.
- Curious about travel, member stories, consumer behaviour and how independent travel experts can be brought to life through content.
- Positive, reliable and willing to get stuck into both creative support and essential marketing administration.
Skills and experience that would be useful:
- Experience in a marketing, communications, social media, content, events or administrative role, or a relevant placement, internship or qualification.
- Experience using email marketing, CRM, CMS, scheduling or analytics tools would be helpful, but training can be provided.
- Basic experience creating or editing social media content, photography or simple video would be useful.
- Experience working in travel, membership, events or B2B marketing would be an advantage, but is not essential
