About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and proactive Pool Attendant to join our team for the summer holidays. This is an ideal opportunity for someone on a break from school or college who enjoys working with people and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. As a Pool Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, helping to ensure they have an enjoyable and safe experience while using our pool and spa facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome spa guests in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Check spa bookings on the booking system and direct guests to the spa therapists.
  • Greet pool users and confirm their booking on the system.
  • Contact reception if a guest is not booked in (only reception staff are authorised to make pool bookings).
  • Monitor the pool area and CCTV screens to ensure the safety of all users.
  • Ensure pool rules are followed, including preventing diving, ball games, running, pushing, or other unsafe behaviour.
  • Deal with any issues calmly, politely, and professionally.
  • Keep all changing rooms clean, tidy, and well-presented throughout the day.
  • Assist with pool water testing following appropriate training.
  • Support the spa team with laundry duties when required.
  • Ensure residents and guests comply with all pool rules and health & safety procedures.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Able to remain alert and attentive while monitoring the pool area.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help across different departments when needed

Dress Code

Pool Attendants are expected to wear:

  • St David’s polo shirt
  • Dark trousers or smart shorts
  • Sensible footwear
  • Flip-flops may be worn in the pool area only
