£143 per day | Start date: Wednesday 15th April

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Live-in Carer to support a lovely elderly lady living in her own flat in Woodbridge.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 care, companionship, and reassurance to a client who values routine, dignity, and emotional support.

About the Role

  • Daily rate: £143
  • Working hours: 8:00am – 10:00pm (with a 3-hour break)
  • Start date: Wednesday 15th April
  • End date: Wednesday 6th May
  • Accommodation: Private bedroom provided
  • Night support: A separate night carer is in place, so no waking nights required

About the Client

You will be supporting an elderly lady with:

  • Dementia and anxiety (requires reassurance and companionship)
  • Reduced mobility (hoist use required at times)
  • Personal care needs (full support required)

She enjoys:

  • Conversation and companionship
  • Listening to music and being read to
  • Gentle activities such as puzzles or short walks (when able)

She lives alone in a supported apartment and benefits from consistent, calm support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care (washing, dressing, continence care)
  • Supporting with mobility and safe transfers (including hoist use)
  • Preparing meals and encouraging hydration
  • Administering medication
  • Offering companionship and emotional reassurance
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns

Requirements

  • Previous Live-in Care experience
  • Manual handling experience (including hoists)
  • Valid care certification (including Manual Handling, First Aid, Medication, Safeguarding)
  • Reliable, patient and caring approach
  • Able to work on a self-employed basis (weekly invoicing required)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service
