Location: Suffolk Salary: £14.50 – £15.25 per hour (dependent on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week (including 30 minute unpaid break per day) worked across a 4-week rolling rota

Sarah’s Carers is an award-winning home care provider supporting clients throughout Suffolk. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Supervisor to join our growing team and help us maintain the high standards of care and support that our clients expect.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced domiciliary care professional looking to progress into a supervisory role or an existing supervisor seeking a new challenge.

About the Role

As a Community Supervisor, you will support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care services across Suffolk. You will work closely with our Care Coordinators and care team to ensure high standards of care, compliance and staff support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting care staff in the community
  • Completing spot checks, observations and competency assessments
  • Supporting medication competency and compliance monitoring
  • Assisting with care reviews and client assessments
  • Investigating incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns where required
  • Monitoring quality standards and care delivery
  • Supporting carers and clients with day-to-day operational issues
  • Providing direct care support where required

Working Pattern

This role is based on a structured 4-week rolling rota and includes:

  • Early shifts: 7:30am – 3:30pm
  • Core shifts: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Late shifts: 1:30pm – 9:30pm

Shifts are 8 hours in duration and include a 30-minute unpaid break.

The role also includes:

  • Participation in a weekend on-call rota (typically 1 in 4 weekends)
  • Additional on-call payments
  • Overtime payments for care visits covered outside normal working hours

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years’ domiciliary care experience
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for delivering outstanding care

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting care staff
  • Experience completing observations and competency assessments
