Management Accountant 

Role: Management Accountant

Location: Remote within the UK

Type: Permanent, part-time (20 hours over 5 days)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 FTE

About us

Network N Holdings is the Finance, Human Resources and Operations team that provides support services to Network N Media and Project N. We’re a close-knit team who are very supportive of each other. The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting and effective cash-flow management.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers and journals
  • Processing purchase invoices and maintaining the accounts payable ledger
  • Raising sales invoices and maintaining the accounts receivable ledger, along with light credit control supported by business leads
  • Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts
  • Preparing and maintaining the 13-week rolling cash-flow forecast, monitoring performance against forecast and raising any concerns or risks as required
  • Managing the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations and accruals/prepayments
  • Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Preparing VAT returns and assisting with other statutory filings
  • Liaising with the external accountants on year end preparation and other filings as required
  • Preparing and reviewing payroll, using a managed payroll service
  • Performing other ad hoc finance duties as directed by management

 

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant, or similar hands-on finance role
  • Experience preparing and managing cash-flow forecasts
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The right to work in the UK, with proof of your right to work required before the start of employment

 

Ideally, you will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Experience with Xero accounting software
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE). Studying towards or holding an ACCA or CIMA qualification would be advantageous.
