Description

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Logistics Operative to provide a safe, reliable and efficient transport service supporting the day-to-day operations of our fabrication business line in Huntly.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Delivery and collection of materials, fabricated items, equipment and other goods between company facilities, suppliers, client premises and other locations as required.
  • Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in accordance with all legal requirements.
  • Ensuring that goods are correctly checked prior to transport, loads are suitably restrained and secured, and all associated delivery documentation and records are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Supporting the Materials, Production and Project teams with general logistics activities as required.
  • Assist with the movement and organisation of materials and equipment within the facility.
  • Maintain good communication with the Materials Supervisor and other personnel regarding daily transport requirements and priorities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate changing collection and delivery requirements.
  • Maintain a professional standard of conduct whilst representing the company.
  • Carry out other reasonable logistics and transport-related duties as appropriate to the role.

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Current, valid UK driving licence, to include Category C.
  • Current, valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) and Driver Qualification Card.
  • Good understanding of vehicle safety and daily walk-around inspection requirements.
  • Practical knowledge of safe loading and load restraint/security requirements.
  • Ability to accurately check goods against delivery and collection documentation.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
