In this role you will: 

  • Work across diverse field programs including FIFO, DIDO, and short local fieldwork, with an aim for a 50/50 field/office balance.   
  • Manage small to medium ecological projects from initial scoping and client liaison through to field survey coordination and final delivery.   
  • Apply your knowledge of environmental legislation and field ecology to design, coordinate, and deliver multi‑team surveys.   
  • Participate in the establishment of high-integrity conservation agreements across private, government and indigenous sectors 
  • Assist in developing Biodiversity Offset Strategy solutions to achieve meaningful net-positive Biodiversity outcomes 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and technical expertise.   
  • Prepare high quality technical reports, impact assessments, survey documentation, and approval related deliverables. 

About you: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent.   
  • 4+ years’ postgraduate experience in fauna and/or flora surveys in NSW.   
  • Strong understanding of relevant Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.   
  • Experience designing and implementing surveys for threatened species and ecological communities.   
  • Consulting experience and/or motivation to develop project management capability.   
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and managing environmental reports.   
  • Willingness to undertake remote and local fieldwork as required.   
  • Current driver’s licence, White Card, and First Aid Certificate 
  • Accredited Assessor or desire to achieve accreditation is viewed favourably
