In this role you will:
- Work across diverse field programs including FIFO, DIDO, and short local fieldwork, with an aim for a 50/50 field/office balance.
- Manage small to medium ecological projects from initial scoping and client liaison through to field survey coordination and final delivery.
- Apply your knowledge of environmental legislation and field ecology to design, coordinate, and deliver multi‑team surveys.
- Participate in the establishment of high-integrity conservation agreements across private, government and indigenous sectors
- Assist in developing Biodiversity Offset Strategy solutions to achieve meaningful net-positive Biodiversity outcomes
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and technical expertise.
- Prepare high quality technical reports, impact assessments, survey documentation, and approval related deliverables.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent.
- 4+ years’ postgraduate experience in fauna and/or flora surveys in NSW.
- Strong understanding of relevant Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
- Experience designing and implementing surveys for threatened species and ecological communities.
- Consulting experience and/or motivation to develop project management capability.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing environmental reports.
- Willingness to undertake remote and local fieldwork as required.
- Current driver’s licence, White Card, and First Aid Certificate
- Accredited Assessor or desire to achieve accreditation is viewed favourably
