JD – Vocational Rehabilitation Coach 

 

The Role 

Zello’s clinical team is expanding and is looking to recruit multiple Vocational Rehabilitation Coaches.  As a Vocational Rehabilitation Coach, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of referrals from our clients to support employees in returning to the workplace after a period of ill-health or injury. 

You will use your consultancy and interviewing techniques to draw out information from employees and use your clinical reasoning ability to develop comprehensive reports and provide appropriate reasonable adjustments and return to work plan for individuals.  

To be successful in this role you will come from a similar background, and have a professional or workplace qualification in psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing or sports rehab. 

Purpose of the role 

  • Utilise clinical experience & knowledge to complete telephonic and video assessments to effectively assist an injured individual with their recovery. 
  • Use high levels of communication to influence and support a patient’s journey, whilst maintaining great attention to detail within a fast-paced environment, often with competing priorities. 
  • Help employees make informed decisions by acting as their advocate regarding their clinical status and treatment options. 
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of care. 
  • Provide excellent integrated service delivery during every interaction with employees and clients. 
  • Maintain regular contact (telephone, video & digital) with participants in order to monitor their progress and to ensure satisfaction. 

Key responsibilities – Clinical Service Delivery 

  • Deliver clinically robust, consistent, and comprehensive telephonic and video assessments which lead to the most clinically appropriate outcomes. 
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate appropriate interventions and clinical pathways throughout the case leading to expedient and effective patient recovery, outcomes and case closure. 
  • Regular and consistent use of the bio-psychosocial model when making contact with employees and with clinical decisions. 
  • Capture employee outcomes throughout the duration of a case that allows us to effectively demonstrate value to our clients. 
  • Identify and act on client and employee needs, setting high standards for quality throughout each case. 
  • Utilising every contact point with employees as a chance to educate & provide clinical support. 
  • Accurately recording all case interactions. 
  • Reliably delivering services in line with established processes, training & client expectation. 
  • Shared responsibility for patient cases, i.e. owning individual caseload, whilst supporting other clinical colleagues proactively and encouraging team working. 
  • Adopting and encouraging the highest standards of clinical care, including the consistent provision of clinical guidance and advice, adapting as necessary throughout the patient’s clinical journey in order to meet their needs. 
  • Taking a forward thinking, patient-centred approach to overcome case management hurdles, working independently and within a group setting to identify priorities.

Personal specification 

Essential: 

  • Minimum 12 months clinical/hands on experience, previous case management or vocational rehabilitation expertise. 
  • Relevant clinical degree (Occupational Health, Occupational Therapy, Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Clinical Psychologist, Physiotherapy). 
  • Current professional registration(s) of your relevant professional body. 
  • Proven case management experience. 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritise and plan workload. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail and time management skills. 
  • Experienced & reliable use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 

Desirable: 

  • Experience with delivery to corporate clients. 
  • Previously worked remotely or from home. 
  • Previously managed employees’ case management virtually using video or telephone consultations.
