We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Chef to join our team at Pennine Garden Centre on a 30-hour contract (including alternate weekends).

This isn’t just another chef job — you’ll be right-hand to the Lead Chef, helping run the kitchen day-to-day and stepping up to run the pass when needed. If you’re ready for more responsibility and want to be part of a solid, supportive team, you’ll fit right in.

The hours (average 30 per week): Week 1: Tues–Thurs, 8am–4pm (22.5 hrs) Week 2: Tues–Thurs + Sat & Sunday, 8am–4pm (37.5 hrs)

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting and deputising for the Lead Chef
  • Running the pass and keeping standards high
  • Cooking consistently good food that you’re proud to send out
  • Managing prep, stock, and minimising waste
  • Keeping on top of food safety and hygiene
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly
