Parts Advisor

We are seeking a motivated and organised Parts Advisor to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting our workshop, retail customers, and trade partners.

Role Purpose

As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for supplying vehicle parts and accessories to customers and the workshop efficiently and accurately. You will provide expert advice, maintain stock control, process orders, and ensure an excellent customer experience in line with Škoda and Garland standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Provide professional advice and assistance to retail and trade customers regarding vehicle parts and accessories.
  • Handle customer enquiries via telephone, email, and in person.
  • Identify parts requirements accurately using manufacturer catalogues and systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

Parts Sales

  • Promote and sell genuine Škoda parts, accessories, and associated products.
  • Achieve personal and departmental sales targets.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate.
  • Prepare quotations and process customer orders efficiently.

Workshop Support

  • Supply technicians with the correct parts promptly to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Liaise closely with the Service Department to ensure parts availability for scheduled work.
  • Assist in managing vehicle-off-road situations through efficient sourcing and ordering.

Stock Control

  • Receive, check, and correctly store incoming parts deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with annual stock takes.
  • Return surplus, obsolete, or warranty parts in accordance with manufacturer procedures.

Administration

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, credits, and warranty-related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records using dealer management systems.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company procedures and manufacturer standards.

Health & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure parts are handled and stored appropriately.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Parts Advisor, Parts Assistant, or similar automotive role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with stock management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
