Overview

As a Warehouse Team Leader at Wholesale Domestic, you will provide hands-on leadership and operational support within our Distribution Centre at 50 Montrose Avenue, Hillington Park, Glasgow, G52 4LA.

Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading by example, supporting your team to deliver excellent results, and helping to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective running of daily warehouse activities. You will play a key role in maintaining high operational standards, promoting a positive team culture, and driving operational performance across the warehouse.

This role requires a proactive, adaptable individual who can motivate others, solve problems, and contribute to the ongoing success of the wider operation. As part of a collaborative leadership team, you will work across different areas of the warehouse as required, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to meet business needs.

The role is based on a 41.5-hour working week, consisting of:

  • 3 shifts of 7:00am to 4:00pm
  • 1 shift of 10:00am to 7:00pm
  • 1 weekend day shift of 9:00am to 5:00pm

Flexibility is essential to support the needs of the operation and ensure excellent service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Delivery

  • Coordinate and support daily warehouse activities to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
  • Allocate tasks and resources effectively to meet business demands.
  • Monitor workflow and productivity, making adjustments where required.
  • Support the movement, handling, storage, and processing of goods throughout the warehouse operation.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed consistently and accurately.
  • Lead by example, promoting professionalism, accountability, and high performance.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor team performance against operational targets and key performance indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational excellence.
  • Assist with attendance, performance, and conduct management in line with company procedures.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Support the induction and training of new employees.
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and a positive working environment.

  • Maintain all required training, certifications, and compliance records.
  • Support investigations and corrective actions relating to safety incidents where required.
