Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual with experience in grounds maintenance, site maintenance, or a similar practical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and improvement works across multiple sites, ensuring they are kept safe, functional, and well-presented. This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and growing business. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out fencing repairs and installations
  • Undertaking road and surface repairs
  • Painting and general maintenance tasks
  • Applying and maintaining road and car park white lining
  • General landscaping and external site upkeep
  • Lawn mowing, hedge cutting, and vegetation management
  • Ground preparation for landscaping and construction-related activities
  • Assisting with a variety of maintenance and operational tasks as required

Additional Responsibilities

  • Timesheets completed weekly
  • Completing Vehicle Check Sheets
  • POWRA Completion
  • Communicating Daily Work Progress
  • Complete a range of Ground and Site Maintenance duties
  • Reporting Close Calls / Accidents / Incidents
  • Kit & Vehicle Cleanliness
  • Equipment /Plant / Vehicle Fault reporting
  • Safe Legal Driving of company vehicles (Over 21’s only)
  • Return Briefing Sign Off Forms as issued
  • Wearing Correct PPE
  • Take responsibility for your own safety and that of others
  • Undertake yard duties as allocated

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Punctual timekeeping

DesirableKnowledge, Skills & Accreditations

  • Experience working as a Landscape Operative / General Handyperson
  • Towing Licence (BE).
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Hedgecutter /Brushcutter/trimmers
  • Pedestrian /Ride-on / Remote Mower
  • Fencing
  • EFAW.
  • Manual Handling

The role involves daily travel to various sites, with occasional overnight stays required depending on operational requirements.

Flexibility is essential, and employees may be required to work one weekend per month when business needs dictate.
