EVENT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Location: Nottingham

 Salary: National Living Wage

Terms: 3 days/ 22.5 hours per week for fixed term 3 months (days to be agreed)

The Role

VCUKI has an opportunity for an Event Operations Assistant with our National Events Team for VCUKI to cover sickness within the team. This role will be required to assist in the planning and delivery of National Vineyard Conferences. This is a part-time position, based in Nottingham and reporting to the VCUKI National Events Team Operations Manager (Anna Sandell).

The role would be well suited to someone who has good organisational skills and the ability to operationally support the delivery of VCUKI National Events and further our vision to ‘Extend God’s Kingdom together, everywhere in every way’ through National events. 

The candidate would ideally be someone who has a high level of attention to detail and good communication skills. This individual would be proactive, highly motivated and interested in growing in this role and responsibility. The candidate should be someone who would love to significantly contribute to the delivery of these events and enjoy working as part of a vibrant team.

The applicant should ideally be able to start from 1st October to 31st December 2026.

Job Description

This role sits within the National Events Team for Vineyard Churches UK and Ireland. The post holder will assist in the planning and delivery of National Vineyard Conferences

National Vineyard Conferences project planning and delivery

Conference organisation and administration duties may include but not limited to:

  • Manage ticket bookings
  • Practical organisation of the venue
  • Research, accommodation booking and travel arrangements
  • Help to administrate and recruit teams of volunteers
  • Obtain quotes as required
  • Research costs and viability of proposals by event leads
  • Answer queries from emails and phone calls
  • Help with set up and set down of events
  • Help where required with running of events
  • Handle all enquiries into NET team effectively and with a professional manner

Further the delivery of our vision to ‘Extend God’s Kingdom together, everywhere in every way’ through National events

  • Be flexible as the job changes, taking on new areas of responsibility at the request of your line manager and relinquishing other roles as the staff team develops and responsibilities change.
  • Attend relevant meetings, events and training as required. Be willing to work occasional weekends and long shifts during events
  • Comply with VCUKI policies and procedures
  • Assist VCUKI with additional administration support when necessary
  • Maintain a good working relationship with church members, staff and with other vineyard churches.

The duties listed are not exhaustive and may be varied from time to time as dictated by the changing needs of the National Events Team.  The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties as appropriate and as requested by his/her manager.
