Social Media Executive

Department: Marketing

Location: Multi‑campus (UK)

Position Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm

The Role

We are seeking a creative, commercially minded Social Media Executive to take ownership of our social media and content activity across multiple brands and platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling, digital trends, and performance‑driven marketing in a dynamic education environment.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging content that builds brand awareness, drives traffic and conversions, and fosters strong online communities. Working closely with marketing, design, and events teams, you will play a key role in bringing the UKMC brand to life through high‑quality digital content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple brands and platforms.
  • Plan, manage, and maintain content calendars aligned to campaigns, events, and key educational cycles.
  • Lead the creation of engaging, high‑quality content in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage influencer and creator activity, building strong and sustainable relationships.
  • Oversee community management, monitoring engagement and responding to trends in real time.
  • Support student recruitment, brand, and commercial campaigns through effective social media execution.
  • Track performance, analyse data, and optimise content to drive growth, reach, and engagement.
  • Create content for all digital channels and collaborate with wider marketing activities including email campaigns, events, and print.
  • Report on campaign performance across social media and email marketing platforms.
  • Stay up to date with emerging digital trends, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and impact.

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience in a social media, content, or digital marketing role.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and content formats.
  • Experience managing social media channels end‑to‑end.
  • Hands‑on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. HubSpot).
  • Background working with influencers or content creators.
  • Commercial awareness with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑focused approach.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a marketing role.

Desirable

  • Experience across both B2B and B2C marketing (education sector desirable).
  • Degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a multi‑brand or multi‑stakeholder organisation.
