Marketing Manager (Campaigns)

Department: Marketing and Communications

Responsible to: Head of Campaigns

Hours of Work: Full time, 37 hours per week

Location: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week at UK Coaching Head Office, Leeds

Fixed Term: 18 months in the first instance  

Salary Range: £35,000 – £38,000 a year

Main Purpose of the Role: We’re looking for a dynamic marketing manager to shape the future of the Play Their Way campaign and help drive real change across the coaching community. As a key member of the team, you’ll lead the delivery of high‑impact campaign activity — from securing stakeholder buy‑in and running inspiring in‑person and online events, to creating impactful content. You’ll own the PR and creative agency relationships, and work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to keep our digital hub fresh, relevant, and full of powerful stories. This role is about collaboration, creativity, and making a meaningful impact within coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure all major stakeholder approvals concerning creative development and appropriate creative/content sign-off
  • Oversee organisation of stakeholder events (both in-person and online events like the Rights-based workshops, Coach Catch-up and NGB workshops)
  • Set up clear guidelines and content assets for campaign partners/ supporters to execute against
  • Lead agency management in preparing communications plans and overseeing execution and, where appropriate managing agency pitch process (brief creation, introductory meetings, organisation, feedback emails/calls)
  • Day to day management of PR Agency programme of activity, ensuring planning and execution are delivered on time. Provide strategic check-in on activity with Head of Campaigns, Head of Marketing and Head of Coaching and Policy
  • Develop and maintain partner engagement and partnership management with CCC for regular campaign communications
  • Lead on new content plans and execution for ongoing profile raising and collaborative campaign management activity through CCC task and finish groups
  • Manage the creation of campaign content for the digital hub with the Digital Marketing Manager, ensuring resources and case studies are regularly updated
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver campaign specific comms/newsletters – writing, managing feedback and scheduling regular campaign newsletters to target audiences
  • Support Head of Campaigns on campaign performance / adaptation and post-campaign analysis, review and write up
  • Independent working, skills and knowledge to autonomously lead on areas of work (brief creation, Subject Matter Expert liaison, organise film shoots, manage feedback and dissemination)
  • Develop new workstreams and lead on the management and implementation of these (organise, create, collect results and present back to wider team and CCC)
  • Ability to take ownership of workload and confidence in own ability to deliver on work programmes
  • Manage the planning and execution alongside the Head of Campaigns and Marketing Team for the delivery of the UK Coaching week campaign
  • Support the Marketing and Events Assistant with related work priorities, briefing and overseeing individual tasks related to the PTW work programme

Project Management

  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver complex projects from concept to launch.
  • Skilled in coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
  • Experience prioritising workloads, managing competing deadlines, and adapting quickly when project requirements shift.
  • Able to balance a primary focus on PTW projects while supporting UKC workstreams.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Clear, engaging copywriting and content production skills for multiple channels.
  • Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to balance PTW priorities with UKC needs.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at pace.
  • Experience managing external agencies, reviewing plans, giving feedback, and overseeing day‑to‑day delivery.
  • Experience leading multi‑channel campaign activity from planning through execution, including events, content, and communications.
  • Ability to create briefs, work with SMEs, organise shoots, manage revisions, and deliver high‑quality assets.
  • Co-ordinate events – delivering both in-person and online events for a range of audiences.
  • Ability to produce clear performance reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written English, accuracy, and attention to detail under pressure.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with social, digital and creative teams on integrated campaigns.
