Digital Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing and Communications

Responsible to: Head of Campaigns

Hours of Work: Full time, 37 hours per week

Location: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week at UK Coaching Head Office, Leeds

Fixed Term: 18 months in the first instance

Salary Range: £38,000 – £43,000 a year

Main Purpose of the Role:

Developing the campaign’s digital ecosystem across web and app environments, personalisation, user experience, and app optimisation. To deliver measurable improvements in member engagement, retention, and long‑term value.

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a motivated Digital Marketing Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of digital initiatives that drive audience growth, engagement, and long‑term member retention across all online platforms. This role is responsible for elevating the Play Their Way campaign’s digital presence through data‑driven email automation, personalised website experiences, and compelling multi‑channel content. A key focus will be delivering the new PTW app and ensuring its successful adoption and ongoing optimisation, while maintaining the flexibility to support wider UKC digital priorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Personalisation & User Experience

• Develop and implement personalised website experiences based on user behaviour.

• Lead UX enhancements including dynamic content, tailored landing pages, and improved user

journeys.

• Coordinate with creative and paid social agencies to ensure cross channel consistency.

• Proactively re engage members through personalised onsite experiences.

• Enhance the PTW user dashboard and expand restricted content to increase member value.

• Gather and act on member feedback to drive continuous improvement.

• Upload and publish news, features, campaign stories, course landing pages, and event content

via CMS.

PTW App

• Oversee app content requirements, usage patterns, and ongoing optimisation.

• Identify resource gaps and lead content implementation.

• Define Version 2 requirements, including new features, UX improvements, and promotional

campaigns.

• Monitor post launch performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Email Automation:

• Design and implement automated email campaigns to nurture registered members

• Segment audiences based on PTW archetypes and personalise messaging to maximise

engagement and conversion

• Monitor performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions) and optimise campaigns

Digital Publishing & Optimisation

• Upload and publish news, features, campaign stories, course landing pages, and event content

via CMS.

• Work with the Digital Marketing team to optimise content for web, email and social

performance.

• Analyse performance metrics to inform future content direction.

Project Management

• Proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver complex digital projects from concept to launch.

• Skilled in coordinating cross functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring clear

communication across stakeholders.

• Experience prioritising workloads, managing competing deadlines, and adapting quickly when

project requirements shift.

• Able to balance a primary focus on PTW projects while supporting UKC workstreams when

required.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong digital marketing skills across email automation, website personalisation, content

creation, and user engagement.

• Confident using analytics tools to interpret data and optimise campaigns and user journeys.

• Clear, engaging copywriting and content production skills for multiple digital channels.

• Understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategies.

• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to balance PTW priorities with UKC needs.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at pace.

• Proven experience running digital campaigns across email, web, and social.

• Hands on experience with content management platforms

• Experience implementing personalised website experiences or segmentation based journeys.

• Involvement in launching or managing digital products or apps.

• Ability to produce clear performance reports for senior stakeholders.

• Excellent written English, accuracy, and attention to detail under pressure.

• Ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience collaborating with social, digital and creative teams on integrated campaigns.

Desirable

• Experience in membership based or subscription driven organisations.

• Knowledge of UX principles, A/B testing, SEO/SEM, or app store optimisation.
