Primary Responsibilities

To create a welcoming, happy, and helpful atmosphere at Trebah by providing exceptional customer service as part of the visitor welcome. Meeting and greeting visitors, you will ensure everyone feels welcome to Trebah.

 

A positive can-do attitude is more important than experience as full training will be given, but punctuality and the ability to communicate in an articulate and friendly manner is essential.

To work 4 days a week,10am – 2pm on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 27th July – 31st August 2026.

 

We want our visitors to have an excellent first impression and to be able to ask questions and be guided to the next step of their visitor journey

 

Trebah Garden Trust has owned and operated Trebah Garden as an independent charity (no. 1000067) since 1990. The work of our staff and time given by our volunteers contributes towards our charitable purpose, chiefly to: “preserve, enhance and re-create for the enjoyment of the public, the gardens of Trebah”.  Today we welcome up to 120,000 visitors per annum to our gardens and our private beach.

 

Main duties/responsibilities

Offering a warm greeting to visitors

 

Identifying visitors’ needs and offering relevant information and assistance to enhance their visit.

Guide all cars and coaches to park responsibly in our car park

 

Good and appropriate radio communication with other relevant staff members

 

Gain a knowledge of Trebah, its garden and history

 

As visitors leave make sure they have a good lasting impression

 

 

Main duties/responsibilities continued

 

Ensuring the Health & Safety of visitors and acting as the eyes and ears and reporting any concerns immediately

 

In addition, all employees have a responsibility for their own Health & Safety and that of others (staff, volunteers and visitors), when carrying out their duties

 

Postholders will be required to wear Trebah uniform and badge (provided)
