Description

Position Overview:

The Aftersales Manager is responsible for the maintenance and support services for renewable energy installations, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing engineers, coordinating field operations, and working closely with clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in renewable energy technologies and proven leadership in managing service operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise the field engineers, and support staff, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Service Operations: Oversee all service and maintenance activities for renewable energy installations, including scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdowns/repairs.
  • Customer Support: Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing service inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring timely resolution of any issues related to equipment performance.

Field Service Coordination:

Organise and manage field service operations, dispatching engineers to various project sites as needed, ensuring quick and effective responses to equipment breakdowns.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain detailed service records, including service schedules, work orders, repair logs, and cost tracking, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

· Performance Monitoring:

Track and report on equipment performance, service efficiency, and customer satisfaction, implementing improvement strategies where necessary.

· Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all service activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and safety audits as required.

· Budget Management:

Oversee the service department budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and service activities remain profitable.

· Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for operational improvements, increasing efficiency in service delivery and enhancing the customer experience.

Key Skills and Qualifications

· Proven experience in a service management or similar role, preferably within the construction or heavy equipment sector.

· Strong technical knowledge of diesel generator, construction equipment, machinery, and maintenance procedures.

· Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in service management software and reporting tools.

· Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the construction and equipment maintenance industries.
