The Opportunity:
We’re
looking for an organised and proactive Events Manager to join
our Melbourne Live Events team, working on our premium events and experiences within Wildcard. You’ll lead the
end-to-end management of high-end hospitality experiences and dynamic
activations for major sporting codes, rights holders, and premium brands. This
position offers the opportunity to create bespoke event experiences that engage
guests and elevate client positioning across Australia’s most prestigious
sporting events.
Working closely with our Head of Live Events, you’ll be responsible for
transforming client briefs into exceptional events through creative vision,
meticulous planning, and flawless execution. Based in Melbourne, this role sits
at the intersection of sports, creativity, and premium event production, perfect
for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make their
mark in the sports and events landscape.
You’ll
be
- Leading creative responses
to client briefs and bringing that vision to life
- Managing event and
activation concept creation and production across major sporting events
- Overseeing all aspects of
event delivery including styling, brand integration, guest experience design,
budget management, and detailed run sheets
- Managing site operations
including bump-in and bump-out, managing risks ensuring compliance with
WHS standards
- Building and maintaining
strong client relationships
- Collaborating with internal
teams across TGI Sport, external suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure
seamless event execution
- Providing leadership and
direction to junior staff members on event projects
What we’re looking for
- Experience in event
management within the sports events industry or equivalent
- Demonstrated expertise in
end-to-end event and project management, with proven ability to manage multiple
concurrent projects
- Strong commercial
understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape in Australia
- Exceptional client
management experience with the ability to build rapport, present confidently,
and drive relationships
- High-level budget
management and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft
Office suite and strong writing/proofreading capabilities
- Understanding of Risk
Management & OHS Management Systems
- Creative mindset with
impeccable attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
- Tertiary qualifications in
Event Management, Sports Management, Marketing or equivalent (desirable)
