We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Van Drivers to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on job that keeps you on your toes!

 

Location: Based from Tong Garden Centre

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week

Contract: Temporary, until the end of June 2026

Hourly rate: £12.71 for those above the age of 21, paid monthly on or before the 5th of each month

Start Date: As soon as possible! We’re also open to accommodate any notice periods.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the warehouse team with picking and packing
  • Helping organise stock ready for movement to other sites, shop floor, or delivery to customers
  • Delivering customer orders using our company van
  • Moving stock to our other Yorkshire Garden Centres using the company van
  • Ensuring the van is well-maintained, clean, and always ready for use.
  • Checking and recording deliveries accurately, ensuring everything is in the right place, and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Assisting with a variety of warehouse duties and keeping the warehouse running smoothly

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous warehouse experience (bonus if you’ve been a Van Driver before!)
  • Must be over 25 years old (for insurance purposes).
  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • A commitment to keeping our warehouse and deliveries running smoothly.
  • Ability to handle stock and deliveries with care and precision.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to drive a company van.
  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential)
