We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to work flexibly as a Kitchen Porter and a Front of House Catering Assistant every Sunday. As you can imagine, it gets busy, so you’ll need to be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment!

📍Location: Bingley Garden Centre

🕛Hours: 6 hours per week

📆Shift Pattern: 9:30am – 4pm every Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities are:

• To ensure the kitchen environment is kept up to the highest cleaning standards.

• Collecting and washing up pots and pans.

• Cleaning crockery, cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean and tidy.

• Unloading equipment and food from deliveries.

• Ensuring the kitchen area is organised and tidy.

• Making sure work surfaces and floors are always clean and free from food and debris.

• To assist the kitchen staff with various duties.

This role will also have the opportunity to flex into Front of House. This would involve:

  • Taking customers orders & using the tills
  • Delivering food & drinks to customers
  • Making hot & cold drinks
  • Clearing & cleaning tables & the Restaurant

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:

The ideal Kitchen Porter is someone who:

• Essential: Previous Kitchen Porter experience

• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Is hardworking and a team player.

• Desirable: Is flexible to work additional shifts and weekends if and when required.
