Evening Cleaning Supervisor – Full Time (Shared Company Vehicle Provided)

Location: Based in Burton-on-Trent, travelling across our catchment area (Burton-on-Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Lichfield, Tamworth, Ashby and all areas in-between)

Salary: £28,000 – £29,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time, 2:00pm–10:00pm Monday–Friday, on-call every other weekend and alternate bank holidays (calls only). Additional morning on-call cover (5:00am–9:00am) will be required during periods when the Staff Manager is absent due to annual leave or sickness.

Spotless Cleaning is a well-established, family-run commercial cleaning company with a proud 18-year history of delivering excellent service across the East Midlands. We’re growing, and we’re now looking for a reliable, organised and confident Evening Cleaning Supervisor to join our team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be the first point of contact for cleaning staff between 2:00pm and 10:00pm for any shift issues, sickness notifications, or cover requests.
  • Drive across our catchment area to client sites to carry out cleaning audits, quality checks and team support visits. You must be comfortable with regular evening driving.
  • Run trial shifts with prospective cleaners and provide feedback to the Operations Team.
  • Support new starters by carrying out inductions and on-site training.
  • Attend weekly management meetings at our Burton-on-Trent office.
  • Carry out regular quality audits and ensure cleaning standards are maintained across all sites.
  • Occasionally provide hands-on cleaning support where required.
  • Manage the out-of-hours phone line every other weekend and on alternate bank holidays, dealing with urgent staff and client issues.
  • Provide additional morning telephone cover between 5:00am and 9:00am during periods when the Staff Manager is absent due to annual leave or sickness.
  • Calls in excess of 30 minutes per day during on-call periods will attract TOIL or additional pay.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience within the commercial cleaning industry.
  • Supervisory or mobile cleaning experience is desirable.
  • A confident and professional communicator who can deal with staffing issues calmly and effectively.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Willingness to support the team with hands-on cleaning when required.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check, which will be arranged by the Company

Important Information

The shared company vehicle is based at our Burton-on-Trent office (DE14) and must be collected and returned at the start and end of each shift. The vehicle cannot be taken home or kept overnight.
