Background:

SBR (Southbourne Rubber) is a small/medium fast-growing company that specialises in

production of specialist rubber and silicone components for specialised aviation, military,

defence, maritime and medical applications. With quality at the forefront of everything

undertaken, the company is certified to; Aerospace AS9100D & ISO:9001 and most

importantly hold an extensive list of customer accreditations. Notably; Boeing, BAE

Systems, GE Aviation, AIRBUS, Leonardo and Rolls Royce.

Job Responsibilities (Sales)

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key partners acting as the

main point of contact between the company and its key partners

• Develop current and new business opportunities in line with sales strategy and

targets

• Manage all leads and enquiries assigned to them and respond in a timely manner

• Collaborate with internal teams, such as administration, quality and production to

ensure a coordinated approach to serving key accounts and achieving targets

• Proper liaison with departmental teams to ensure proper implementation of projects

and smooth transition into production.

• Monitor contract compliance and address any issues that may arise during the

course of the relationship.

• Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

• Gather feedback from key clients and use it to improve products, services, or the

overall customer experience.

• Answering customer enquiries, scheduling meetings and following up with customers

• Updating and performing relative activities on the companies CRM tool SalesForce

and ERP system SAP

• Organise and undertake customer visits to ensure regular contact and development

• Encourage visits to SBR by partners & industry bodies

• Assist colleagues within sales department and wider departments

• Maintain accurate and organised records of cost estimates, bids, and related

documents

Job Responsibilities (General)

• Manage accounts in whole and liaise with relevant departments/people i.e.

Quality, Technical and Production to understand the whole picture of what is

happening with the customer in all departments. This to include documentation

requested by customers e.g. company questionnaires, terms and conditions etc

• Sales orders / quotes – preparing quotes and estimates for customers

• Trade show / exhibition assistance

• To act as an ambassador for the company, promoting a positive image both

internally and externally, demonstrating support of our strategic direction

• Timely submission of expenses

• Assist with colleagues accounts in times of need e.g. illness / holiday etc

Skills:

• Solid business acumen, team worker, positive attitude and conscientious.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• Able to organise time, prioritise workload and ability to multitask

• Computer literature (Microsoft packages)

• A high degree of self-motivation and ambition.

• The capability to flourish in a competitive environment.

• A proficient level of English and Mathematics

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures

• Familiarity with cost estimates and proposals

• Flexibility, enthusiasm, self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative.

• Able to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and

externally

• Decision-making / problem solving skills.

Desirable:

• Experience of working within an Aerospace / Defence environment

• Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100D or a similar QMS system
