Description

Transport Escort (Part-Time – 25 Hours per Week)

Location: Southampton

Salary: £16,523 per year

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 11:00 and 14:30 – 17:00 (25 hours per week).

About the Role

We are looking for a caring and reliable Transport Escort to join our team, supporting individuals to travel safely to and from our Day Centre Hubs.

Working alongside a driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring passengers feel safe, comfortable and supported throughout their journey.

This is a highly rewarding position suited to someone who is compassionate and enjoys working with people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to customers from their home to the Day Centre Hub and back
  • Assist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair users
  • Ensure all passengers are safely seated and secured during transport
  • Offer physical and emotional support while encouraging independence
  • Maintain a safe, respectful and comfortable environment during journeys
  • Communicate any concerns, incidents or health observations to managers
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure excellent customer care
