About the Role

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. This role supports the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse through goods receipt, stock control, order picking, loading and unloading vehicles, and housekeeping activities.

This is a varied role that combines manual handling, warehouse operations and the use of mechanical handling equipment.

Previous forklift truck experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and store stock accurately within designated warehouse locations.
• Check deliveries against documentation and report any discrepancies.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and securely.
• Carry out stock movements in accordance with company procedures.
• Support stock counts and inventory accuracy activities.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Report any damaged, faulty or unsafe equipment immediately.

 What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience desirable.
• Forklift truck experience (Counterbalance, Reach, Pivot Truck or PPT) beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake forklift truck training and develop new skills.

Location: Aylesham, Kent  

Shift: 10:00pm to 6:00am. This a night shift vacancy 

Pay: hourly rate plus shift allowance
