Description

Purpose:

The role will be to support the SumUp BDM within three main areas:

·20% back office activities (including but not limited to, reporting, trade marketing coordination, distributer coordination)

·40% Market analysis across multiple regions and business verticals. Adhering to joint business plan whilst optimising each opportunity withing A retailers. Monthly execution of marketing initiatives, valuation and optimisation in store and online. Project coordination across small merchants in business centres and retail field sales.

·40% Account Management. Focuses on driving sales within in “B” retailers (up to 10) to allow BDM more time with the “A” retailers.

·Role context:

o   71 live retailers across DACH & BLX

o   Ensuring all business areas are supported across admin and logistic workload.

o   Understanding the foundation

 

Experience

·Minimum of 3 years of experience/proven track record in business development

·Minimum 1 years of experience working within Key Accounts or Retail Sales

·Experience withing FMCG or Consumer Electronics or Cash and Carry or Office Supplier

·Trade retail in the UKI market

  

Other Skills

·1-3 years experience in sales of commercials roles

·Strong communication skills, focussing on public speaking/presenting

·Advance MS Excel

·Analytical or Statistic experience/qualifications

·Negotiation, sales acumen.

  

Key Success Factors

·Execution of regular Joint Business plans at store level

·Maximising and boosting sales within top retailers

·Providing timely and accurate report of each retailer campaign

·Increasing knowledge of the market for the team

·Drive “B” retailer relationships

·Lead and manage back end activities in line with business requirements, including but not limited to RMA’s, commissions, PO creation, Logistics, forecasting, compliance etc

·Working with the drive and ambition to be the BDM of the future
