Cleaner

This is a 12-month Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday – 3.5 hours – exact times can be discussed and agreed but there is flexibility.

The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring the Brunel Building is maintained to ensure hygiene across the facility. You will be required to manage general cleaning of the offices, bathrooms and break areas including the kitchen, as well as for waste disposal.

Job Duties

• General Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and dusting office desks or surfaces.
• Washroom Upkeep: Scrubbing sinks, toilets, and mirrors while restocking paper towels and soap.
• Waste Management: Emptying bins, collecting rubbish, and replacing liners.
• Surface Disinfection: Cleaning high-touch areas like door handles, light switches, and shared kitchen counters.

Requirements

• This is a physical role so you must have the ability to bend, stretch, push heavy equipment, and stand for long periods.
• As the only cleaner within the building you will be required to work independently
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning tools
• Prior commercial cleaning experience is desirable
