Healthcare Assistant – Outpatients

9 & 25 Harley Street | Permanent – 30 hours per week.

Phoenix Hospital Group are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our Outpatients team in our Harley Street Clinics. This permanent, full-time role will play an important part in supporting our clinical teams and ensuring a safe, professional and positive experience throughout their care.

Reporting to the Lead Outpatient Nurse and Director of Clinical Services, the successful Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in patient care, contributing to the overall success of our medical services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and respectful care and support to patients.
• Assist nurses and clinicians during outpatient appointments and procedures.
• Prepare clinical areas and equipment for patient care.
• Welcome, reassure and support patients throughout their appointments.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow infection prevention and control, safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Complete relevant documentation accurately.
• Report any concerns regarding patients to the appropriate member of the clinical team.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment.
• Work effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar patient-facing role.
• Is caring, compassionate and committed to providing excellent patient care.
• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is confident working as part of a team.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and patient dignity.
• Is reliable, organised and able to manage changing priorities.
• Is willing to learn and develop their clinical skills.
• Is flexible and able to support different outpatient clinics when required.

Previous experience within an outpatient or clinical environment would be desirable, but we would also welcome applications from candidates with transferable healthcare experience who demonstrate the right attitude and commitment to patient care.
