Support Worker (Internally know as an Enablement Associate)

About the role
The person you will be supporting is a 22-year-old male who lives in his own home in Yeovil and is supported on a 1-1 support ratio. He has a diagnosis of autism and severe learning disabilities.
Henry is very fun to be around and will involve you with his play routines once he gets to know you well and feels safe around you.
He enjoys using the internet and watching YouTube videos such as Tots TV, tweenies, CBeebies, Rosie and Jim and Thomas the Tank Engine.
Henry can take part in food preparation and cooking with support, especially chopping, and stirring.
He enjoys being out and about and taking part in activities from his home, he has an activities that are pre-planned each day/each week, as well as taking part in spontaneous activities with his team also. Henry can become anxious by this, and it can cause him to be unsettled, however, when with team members who he knows and trusts, this can be a good and enjoyable experience for him.
