Accounts Assistant

Location: Southampton/Hybrid

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum (depending upon experience)

 

About the role

PBS4 is currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team, based in our Southampton Head Office. The company currently employs circa 420 employees and is experiencing a period of growth, opening up exciting opportunities across all departments.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

•Processing of sales invoices on a weekly basis

•Processing of expense claims on a monthly basis

•Accounts inbox monitoring on a daily basis

•Management of Purchase invoice approval system, including initial input, checking, exporting of

documents, and chasing approvals.

•Management of agency profiles for rostering

•Petty cash control, including daily cash reconciliation and ensuring appropriate expenditure

•Assisting with month end and other ad-hoc duties, which may include occasional cover for payroll

 

Essential requirements

•To be able to work well under pressure, both autonomously and with the existing Finance team,

and Financial Controller.

•Have good IT skills – good use of Xero, Employment Hero, and Excel is desirable

•Experience working in the care sector is desirable

•Be organised and able to adapt

•Have very good attention to detail

•Knowledge of accounting legislation and best practice
