People Operations Advisor – Drive Excellence and Make a Difference with Oakdale

We are now seeking a proactive and experienced People Operations Advisor to join our operational team. The Role – What You’ll Do
We are looking for a People Operations Advisor to join our People team. This is a varied and hands-on role providing high-quality HR advice and operational support across the organisation.
Reporting to the People Operations Manager you’ll provide guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, support recruitment activity, and help to maintain effective people processes and systems. You’ll play a key role in helping us foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
This role is ideal for someone with proven HR experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a growing organisation.
Employee Relations & HR Advisory
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers on a range of issues including absence, performance, discipline, and grievance.
- Support the effective and fair application of HR policies and employment law.
- Assist in managing and documenting employee relations cases, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
- Coach and support managers to develop confidence in managing people matters.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, coordinating interviews, and issuing offers and contracts.
- Work with managers to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and support workforce planning and attraction activities.
People Operations
- Support onboarding, induction and probation processes
- Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records
- Assist with policy updates, process improvements, and compliance.
- Support organisational change activity, including growth and TUPE-related work
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support People and organisational projects as required.
- Help identify ways to improve efficiency and employee experience across all People processes.
- Contribute to initiatives that support engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing.
About You
- CIPD Level 5
- Experience working in a generalist HR or advisory role.
- Proven experience of supporting a range of ER cases
- Experience leading or supporting recruitment processes end-to-end
- Confident working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
