Location: Harrogate

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)

We are now seeking a proactive and experienced People Operations Advisor to join our operational team. The Role – What You’ll Do

We are looking for a People Operations Advisor to join our People team. This is a varied and hands-on role providing high-quality HR advice and operational support across the organisation.

Reporting to the People Operations Manager you’ll provide guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, support recruitment activity, and help to maintain effective people processes and systems. You’ll play a key role in helping us foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

This role is ideal for someone with proven HR experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a growing organisation.


Employee Relations & HR Advisory

  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers on a range of issues including absence, performance, discipline, and grievance.
  • Support the effective and fair application of HR policies and employment law.
  • Assist in managing and documenting employee relations cases, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
  • Coach and support managers to develop confidence in managing people matters.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, coordinating interviews, and issuing offers and contracts.
  • Work with managers to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain recruitment trackers and support workforce planning and attraction activities.

People Operations

  • Support onboarding, induction and probation processes
  • Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records
  • Assist with policy updates, process improvements, and compliance.
  • Support organisational change activity, including growth and TUPE-related work

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support People and organisational projects as required.
  • Help identify ways to improve efficiency and employee experience across all People processes.
  • Contribute to initiatives that support engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing.

About You

  • CIPD Level 5
  • Experience working in a generalist HR or advisory role.
  • Proven experience of supporting a range of ER cases
  • Experience leading or supporting recruitment processes end-to-end
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
